Why Cheer?

Sara always found that cheerleading helped her build confidence and encouraged strong friendships and teamwork.

Cheerleading helps to develop strength and flexibility, teaches discipline, respect and leaves cheerleaders feeling accomplished.

Cheerleading has many benefits including but not limited to: exercise, helping kids become active, motor skills, coordination, balance and how to use various muscles not used in other sports and activities, but can also be beneficial  in other sports.

Cheerleading provides physical strength by building the lower body, core, arms and shoulders.

Cheerleading can also encourage social skills by encouraging communication and engaging teammates to ensure routines and stunts are executed during performances. This includes encouraging teamwork as well.

Although individual success is just as important, teamwork is just as important.  Students learn important life lessons in trust, cheerleading requires an extensive amount of trust.  They must learn to be dependent on each other, especially in stunts where a flyer must trust their bases and bases must learn to trust their flyers will also execute their jobs correctly.

Lastly, one of the most beneficial aspects of cheerleading is teaching students confidence.  When learning a new skill or executing a routine effortlessly a cheerleader's confidence soars.  It encourages involvement and pride by showing off what they can do.

We encourage athletes of all ages to come by and give us a chance. You might just surprise yourself!
